Morioka City has launched the "MORIO Pay Premium Gift Certificates 2026" program to ease household burdens from rising prices and boost local consumption. Applications for the digital gift certificates, which offer a 20% premium, began on April 6, 2026, with a renovation support project also available. FeliCa Pocket Marketing Co., Ltd. provides the system and app, while Morioka ValueCity Co., Ltd. manages operations.
