Central News Agency (CNA, reporter Hong Su-jin, Taipei, July 2nd) Band Sunset Rollercoaster recently won the Golden Melody Award for Best Band at the 37th Golden Melody Awards. They recently participated in a light sculpture project created by Golden Award Artistic Director Chen Yi-chieh, Music Director Wang Hsi-wen, and dancer Liu Yi-ling, in celebration of the first anniversary of the New Taipei City Museum of Art and the upcoming opening of the MRT San Ying Line. "Haishan Night Walk, New Taipei City Museum of Art Architectural Light Sculpture and Sound and Light Environment Theater" is a large-scale cross-disciplinary performance combining four-sided architectural light sculptures with a 360-degree sound and light environment theater. According to the press release, Wang Hsi-wen re-mixed and incorporated Elephant Gym's "Game" and Sunset Rollercoaster's collaboration with HYUKOH, "Antenna," into the music design, which also connected over 3,000 citizens across generations in a collaborative creation. Elephant Gym and Sunset Rollercoaster, both participating in a large-scale architectural light sculpture performance for the first time, could not hide their excitement. They stated they never imagined their music would have the opportunity to be paired with such a large-scale light sculpture work, and revealed they will definitely find time to visit the site in person to experience the new sensation brought about by the fusion of music and light and shadow. Sunset Rollercoaster shared that they had previously collaborated with Wang Hsi-wen on concerts and were deeply impressed by his working style, praising him as "meticulous, sensitive, and a true detail king."
