Wintest Corporation has commercialized a new cargo-handling assist device as an alternative to conventional truck tailgate lifters, which support loading and unloading. The product uses “Mechanism of Gravity Compensation technology,” or MGC technology, which the company is jointly developing with the Morita Laboratory of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Science and Technology, Keio University. The product does not use motors or hydraulics and is designed as a next-generation cargo-handling device that can be used at lower cost. Wintest will display the product and conduct demonstrations at its booth. MGC technology is being jointly developed by Wintest and the Keio Leading-edge Laboratory of Science and Technology, and related patents are being actively filed.
