Uber Japan announced that it will hold “Uber One Member Days,” a large-scale campaign for members of its Uber One subscription program, offering major discounts on Uber Eats delivery and Uber ride-hailing services. The global event will run in Japan for two weeks, from May 15 to May 28, 2026. The campaign covers Uber’s multi-platform services, including Uber Eats food delivery, Uber Taxi, Uber Premium, and the on-demand delivery service Uber Courier. During the campaign, eligible items will be discounted by up to 50%, while ride services will also be available at half price, subject to usage limits and maximum discount caps. When the event was first held last year, new Uber One memberships in Japan increased by 20% during the two-week campaign compared with the same period immediately before the event. Uber said many customers also used Uber’s ride services for the first time or returned to them after starting with Uber Eats, experiencing the convenience of its multi-platform offering. This year, Uber aims to support household budgets amid rising prices by offering savings on mobility, meals, and daily goods delivery. On Uber Eats, around 15,000 partner stores will participate, including merchants offering the same prices as in-store. Offers include up to 30% off items priced the same as in-store, as well as half-price eligible products. Since February, service fees have been waived for restaurant orders above a certain amount, and during the campaign, members can combine this with zero delivery fees for additional savings. For rides, Uber Taxi and Uber Premium will be available at 50% off during the campaign, limited to two rides each. The maximum discount is 2,500 yen per Uber Taxi ride and 3,000 yen per Uber Premium ride. First-time Uber users can receive 3,000 yen off each of their first four rides during the campaign. Uber Courier can also be used free of charge up to five times. Users who link their Rakuten ID can receive point rewards. Normally, users earn 1
