"Movable Ukiyo-e Exhibition" is an immersive art exhibition that introduces over 300 works by Edo-period ukiyo-e artists such as Katsushika Hokusai, Utagawa Kuniyoshi, and Utagawa Hiroshige through digital art content including 3D CG animation and projection mapping. Following its debut in Nagoya in July 2023, the exhibition has toured Kagoshima, Tokyo, Fukuoka, and Osaka. With growing attention, it will be held overseas in Milan, Italy in April 2024, Taipei in 2025, and Paris in 2026. In summer 2026, it will finally open in the Tohoku region for the first time. In addition to digital displays, the exhibition also features famous ukiyo-e prints from the Edo period and reprinted editions, offering visitors the chance to learn about the history of ukiyo-e and Edo culture.
