SGC Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Ginza, Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President: Takao Ishikawa), which manufactures and sells gold products and buys precious metals, will hold the "Great Gold Exhibition," a display and sale event featuring a comprehensive collection of gold products, at Enshu Department Store from July 8 (Wed) to July 13 (Mon), 2026, for six days. Life-sized Golden Statues of Both Pitcher and Batter to be Specially Exhibited Together The venue will feature a special exhibition of life-sized golden statues of Shohei Ohtani, an MLB player for the Los Angeles Dodgers: "Golden Batter Shohei Ohtani" and "Golden Pitcher Shohei Ohtani." This is a rare opportunity to see both statues displayed together. These works were created by SGC, a pioneer in gold products, with Ohtani's official approval, over approximately two years. The batter statue uses 1,550 sheets of gold leaf and stands approximately 1.9m tall (about 2.4m from the base to the tip of the bat), matching Ohtani's height. The pitcher statue uses 1,450 sheets of gold leaf and stands approximately 1.7m tall. The reference prices are ¥50 million (excluding tax, ¥55 million including tax) each, and ¥100 million (excluding tax, ¥110 million including tax) for both, inspired by Ohtani's 2024 record of "50-50" (recording 50 home runs and 50 stolen bases in a single season) and achieving over 50 home runs for two consecutive years.
