Salt Consortium Co., Ltd. (Minato-ku, Tokyo), a major operating company of the Salt Group, will hold its first collaboration with "Nakamachi Hyokaten," a natural ice brand originating from Matsumoto City, Nagano Prefecture. This rare natural ice is cultivated over approximately two weeks using only the winter cold in the rich natural environment of the Southern Alps and Yatsugatake. Utilizing its delicate melt and transparency, THE SUN & THE MOON (Restaurant), AZABUDAI HILLS GALLERY CAFE, Muu Muu Diner NU Chayamachi Plus, and Sukiyaki Juniten Kyoto have developed limited-edition shaved ice creations, each reflecting their brand concepts. While using the same natural ice, we will deliver unique flavors exclusive to this summer, born from the individual characteristics and worldviews of each establishment. ◾️ Project Background Salt Consortium operates restaurants and cafes nationwide that propose new experiential value through "food." Meanwhile, Nakamachi Hyokaten has sincerely engaged with the natural ice nurtured by the nature of the Southern Alps and Yatsugatake, valuing craftsmanship that maximizes its appeal. This collaboration was realized through the convergence of the natural ice's charm, which Nakamachi Hyokaten cherishes, and Salt Consortium's creativity in proposing individuality and dining experiences for each brand. While many collaborations involve jointly developing a single product, this project uses a single block of natural ice as its theme, with four brands developing products that leverage their respective worldviews and culinary approaches. ◾️ Product Introduction AZABUDAI HILLS GALLERY CAFE, adjacent to the Azabudai Hills Gallery, has proposed a fusion of art and food by developing limited-edition menus that express the world of the artworks for each special exhibition. We offer a limited-edition summer drink that uses the transparency of natural ice as a canvas, layering the rich sweetness of ripe mangoes with the refreshing tartness of passion
