Roland DG Corporation, a global leader in digital printing solutions, has released "EUV-H," a new ink for its UV inkjet printers that achieves the high film performance required for industrial printing applications. Compatibility with the currently available UV flatbed printers "MO-240" and "MO-180" has begun. Furthermore, it will be sequentially incorporated into DTO (Direct to Object) products such as the UV flatbed printer "IO-300," scheduled for announcement in Autumn 2026, which boasts high rigidity and repeatability, and the cylindrical printer "RC-300 series," capable of direct printing on cylindrical and conical objects. Ryugo Nimura, Head of the Global Sales & Marketing Division, commented on the background of the new ink development: "As consumer needs become more diverse and personalized, manufacturing sites are shifting from traditional mass production to small-lot, high-mix production. Against this backdrop, DTO products that enable speedy on-demand printing of the required quantity at the required time are gaining attention." EUV-H ink offers superior solvent resistance and abrasion resistance compared to our standard UV ink (EUV5). The printed surface is resistant to scratches and scuffs, maintaining its appearance quality during handling and distribution. In addition to CMYK for full-color expression, the ink lineup includes White, essential for printing white text or as a base on dark materials; Gloss, for special effects like textures and thick builds; and a newly developed Primer to improve printability on materials where ink adhesion is difficult. Direct printing is possible on a wide variety of materials, including polycarbonate and ABS, as well as acrylic, PVC, glass, aluminum, stainless steel, and wood. Furthermore, it significantly reduces the characteristic UV ink odor, creating a comfortable working environment. It does not contain nickel or Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC), nor CMR substances which are strictly regulated under REACH
