Zambia Maternal and Child Health Project" In rural areas of Zambia, the distance from homes to clinics is long, and there is no space to stay at the clinic. As a result, pregnant women must walk to the clinic close to their due date. This leads to many cases of childbirth at home or on the way to the clinic. Childbirth outside of medical facilities carries significant risks, endangering both mothers and children. To improve this situation, we are working to create an environment where mothers and children can give birth and raise their children with peace of mind by establishing "maternity waiting facilities (mother shelters)" where pregnant women can safely stay before and after childbirth, promoting prenatal check-ups using ultrasound diagnostic equipment (echo), and training community health volunteers.
