Arts Council Tokyo, under the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and the Tokyo Metropolitan Foundation for History and Culture, is implementing the "Overseas Dispatch Program for Arts Management Personnel," which dispatches young arts management professionals who will play a role in connecting artists and society in the future to overseas festivals and other events for short periods. The destinations for the 3rd dispatch in fiscal year 2026 are Taiwan, the United Kingdom, and Germany. We are seeking applications from young arts management professionals aiming for international development. Regarding the 2026 Fiscal Year 3rd Dispatch Application Dispatch Destination 1: 1st Tainan Art Biennial National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts Building 2 (Main Venue for the 1st Tainan Art Biennial) We will conduct a dispatch to the Tainan Art Biennial. Taiwan is attracting attention as one of Asia's leading architectural regions where rapid urban development coexists with the preservation and regeneration of historical buildings. Each city has a concentration of distinctive public buildings, cultural facilities, and renovation projects, allowing participants to experience firsthand urban policy, cultural promotion, and regional revitalization practices through architecture in a short period. [Purpose and Objectives] This program focuses on visiting the Tainan Art Biennial, which is being held for the first time this year and features participation from Japanese architects, and will also include architectural tours in multiple cities such as Tainan, Taichung, and Taipei, where tradition and technology merge. By observing the cityscape and participating in the Art Biennial, participants will experience cutting-edge global expressions, encounter diverse values, and aim to build international networks.
