When asked how actual childcare compared to their expectations during pregnancy, 57% responded that "childcare was more difficult than expected," highlighting the importance of preparation and information gathering beforehand. Furthermore, when parents reflected on their postpartum lives and shared what they were glad they had prepared or wished they had adopted earlier, the top two responses were: 1) introducing convenient home appliances, and 2) preparing baby essentials. Among home appliances recommended for families with infants, dishwashers were mentioned most frequently.
