OPERe Inc. (Headquarters: Tokyo; CEO: Yuka Sawada; hereinafter "OPERe") announces the launch of a proof-of-concept (PoC) for a new electronic consent functionality, developed in collaboration with Seiko Solutions Inc. (Headquarters: Chiba City, Chiba Prefecture; President and CEO: Atsushi Sekine; hereinafter "Seiko Solutions"). This PoC will enable patients to complete the entire electronic consent process within the "Poke Sapo" patient education DX system. OPERe is also now accepting applications from medical institutions interested in participating in this PoC. ■ Background In healthcare settings, obtaining numerous consent forms from patients for hospitalization, examinations, and surgeries has long been a challenge. Traditional paper-based processes create burdens such as time required for explanations, storage and retrieval difficulties, and psychological stress for patients. OPERe's "Poke Sapo" is a hospital-facing service that allows patients to receive information necessary for hospitalization and outpatient visits via LINE, tailored to their personal schedules. It has already been introduced in over 130 medical institutions nationwide. Meanwhile, Seiko Solutions has been advancing digitalization of consent processes in healthcare institutions through its electronic consent service "CompactIn".
