"R-Shift," a cloud-based shift management system provided by OM Network Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Niigata City, Niigata Prefecture), supports complex shift operations in various industries, primarily in retail services. On April 30, 2026, we visited Jexer Fitness & Spa Akabane, operated by JR East Sports Co., Ltd., which runs fitness facilities, and interviewed Mr. Koizumi, who is in charge of shift creation. The facility has approximately 90 staff members. While operating multiple sections such as the pool, studio, gym, and front desk, it is necessary to flawlessly manage safety management tasks, represented by pool monitoring, school instruction duties, and studio lesson duties. It has been five years since its introduction in 2021. Currently, they are working to balance complex shift operations and on-site quality by utilizing R-Shift. We asked about their approach to managing the complex shifts unique to the fitness industry and their real-world application methods that have become established on-site.
