Award Certificate OKI (OKI Electric Industry Co., Ltd.) is pleased to announce that Ms. Nahomi Kikuchi (Doctor of Engineering) of OKI received the 2026 "Standardization Achievement Award" at the 41st General Meeting of the Information Technology Standards Commission (ITSCJ) (Note 1) of the Information Processing Society of Japan, held on May 21, 2026. Ms. Kikuchi previously received the "Standardization Contribution Award" in 2021, making this her second award from the ITSCJ. The Standardization Achievement Award is presented annually to no more than three individuals recognized for their long-standing and significant contributions to standardization within ISO/IEC JTC 1 (Note 2), typically as committee members of the ITSCJ. As ICT (Information and Communication Technology) advances, and with the evolution of IT services, IoT, AI, and more, the importance of software and systems is growing. Standardization of quality standards and support technologies is fundamental to achieving secure and safe system quality and facilitating consensus-building among various organizations. Ms. Kikuchi has been involved in standardization activities since 1995, participating in WG 8 and WG 12 subcommittees of JTC 1/SC 7 (Note 3) and continuing her efforts to this day. Since 2009, she has participated in the SC 7/WG 6 subcommittee (Note 4) and contributed to the establishment of international standards in the ISO/IEC 25000 SQuaRE family (Note 5). Furthermore, she has worked diligently to adopt the international standards developed by SC 7/WG 8, WG 12, and WG 6 into JIS (Japanese Industrial Standards), contributing to the domestic dissemination of international standards in the "Software and Systems Engineering" field. This award recognizes her approximately 30 years of dedicated activity.
