This year, we will hold the "Narita Airport Area Children's Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition," an exhibition of calligraphy and painting works by elementary school students from 11 municipalities surrounding Narita Airport. Following last year, we received submissions from elementary schools in all 11 municipalities targeted for applications this year. We received entries with themes evoking "sky," "airplanes," and "airport," and selected 252 award-winning pieces from a total of 8,452 submissions (4,281 calligraphy, 4,171 paintings) from 77 schools. The award-winning works will be exhibited inside and outside Narita Airport as detailed below, and 72 recipients of the Bronze Prize or higher will be honored at the NAA Head Office Building on July 30. The submitted works showcase the results of daily efforts and the boundless imagination unique to elementary school students.
