(Headquarters: 5F Aoyagi Bldg., 2-43-1 Ikebukuro, Toshima-ku, Tokyo, President: Ryosuke Yoshimura), which operates contact lens retail stores, has acquired 100% of the shares of Inter Optical Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: 4F Shomon Bldg., 2-13-25 Omachi, Aoba-ku, Sendai, President: Hideo Kanamaru) as of June 30, 2026, making it a wholly-owned subsidiary. W.I. SYSTEM CO., LTD. is committed to enhancing customer value, such as achieving comfortable vision and the joy of seeing, through product proposals and services tailored to each customer in the contact lens-related business. Furthermore, it positions the expansion of its sales network as a key growth strategy. As a member of the Menicon Group's "Miru" retail stores, it operates 86 "Ace Contact" stores, primarily in Eastern Japan. Meanwhile, Inter Optical operates 3 stores in Sendai, the largest city in the Tohoku region, in highly convenient locations including in front of Sendai Station. Through this acquisition, we will further expand customer touchpoints in the Eastern Japan area. We also anticipate synergistic effects such as improving service quality and strengthening store operational structures by leveraging the store management know-how and service capabilities that both companies have cultivated to date.
