Lobstudio Inc. (Representative Director: Go Manabe) announced that, starting May 14, 2026, it will launch its “Game Releaser Business,” a service that provides cross-functional support for game project planning, development, sales, and marketing, helping titles reach completion and release. Rather than acting as a developer responsible for production or a publisher responsible for sales, Lobstudio positions itself as a third role focused on “completing games and bringing them to the world,” working alongside game developers from planning through launch. Background of the business launch In game projects, it is not uncommon for development to stop midway. Budgets, schedules, game design, and technical barriers are among the many possible causes, and in reality only a small number of games overcome these challenges, reach completion, and make it to release. Many projects face issues such as stalled development with no clear path to completion, uncertainty about how to design the route to release even when development can continue, or having a concept but not knowing how to manage development progress, publicity, or marketing in concrete terms. Although Lobstudio is a small team, its members have experience in both development and sales at major game companies. In roughly two years since its founding, the company has released multiple original games, including the Zombie Police series, ODEN, Tatari Mitako no Inshu-mura Haishin ZP, and Game Shop Shayou. In addition to its own titles, Lobstudio has also supported external game projects through development and marketing assistance, repeatedly working toward completion and release. The company decided to launch this business out of a desire to apply the knowledge gained from these experiences to help game developers with ideas they want to realize.
