Kawaijuku, Kawaijuku Manavis, and Medical Lab, all part of the Kawaijuku Group, announced that applications are now open for the 'Common Test Trial' (hereinafter referred to as the 'Common Test Trial'), scheduled to be held on Sunday, November 15. This trial is designed for first-year and second-year high school students, as well as third-year junior high school students from integrated junior and senior high schools. It allows participants to get an early experience with original problems that reflect the question trends of the Common Test for University Admissions, thereby aiding their future studies. The trial will be conducted via a 'home-based examination method' accessible from anywhere in Japan, and participation is free of charge. The Common Test for University Admissions (hereinafter referred to as the 'Common Test'), held in January of this year, saw a decrease in average scores for mathematics and physics, making it a challenging entrance examination, particularly for science-track students. However, this year marks the sixth iteration of the Common Test, and its question trends have stabilized. It is entirely possible to aim for high scores by preparing thoroughly in advance. To conquer the Common Test, it is essential not only to build a solid foundation in subject knowledge but also to become familiar early on with the unique question formats that require 'thinking skills' and 'judgment skills,' as well as the numerous problems that involve reading and interpreting text and data. The Common Test Trial will provide high-quality original problems based on the expertise in creating problems for the All-Japan Mock Test, which is taken by 2.705 million students annually, and thorough analysis of past Common Test questions. Participants who are about to begin their exam preparation will experience the unique question styles of the Common Test at an early stage. Online lecture sessions will be provided, and individual score reports will be returned three days
