At Hakata Station, a collaborative project with the correspondence high school Oozora High School has resulted in the creation of a mosaic art piece using approximately 450 used train tickets collected at the station. This artwork was handcrafted over about three months by around 150 high school and university students, transforming tickets that have completed their purpose into art that supports the local community—an environmentally conscious initiative. The artwork will be on display inside the central ticket gate at Hakata Station from July 3 (Fri) to September 30 (Wed), 2026. Please be sure to view it when visiting Hakata Station.
