JAF (Japan Automobile Federation) Toyama Branch (Branch Manager: Taiji Sasayama) is accepting applications until Monday, July 27, for the "Summer Vacation Parent-Child Experience! Let's Interact with Insects!" event to be held on Saturday, August 8, at Insect Kingdom Tateyama Tateyama Nature Museum* (Tateyama Town, Nakaniikawa District, Toyama Prefecture). JAF regularly holds hands-on events across the country for its members, aimed at creating weekend outings and lasting memories. This project aims to foster family memories and interest in nature through a parent-child experience of interacting with insects during the summer vacation. At this event, participants can interact with Japanese rhinoceros and stag beetles in the museum's insect dome and observe them up close. The exhibition hall also features a display of world rhinoceros and stag beetles, allowing participants to experience the real charm of insects, their strength and power as they move before your eyes, which cannot be obtained from books or videos alone. Additionally, as a participant benefit, one insect will be given to each group to take home. This allows for further learning through raising and observing the insect at home even after the event. *Insect Kingdom Tateyama Tateyama Nature Museum is an experiential facility where visitors can learn about nature and living creatures while interacting with insects such as rhinoceros and stag beetles. In an environment surrounded by mountains, visitors can observe live insects up close within the facility, deepening their understanding of nature and living creatures.
