JR Central’s Oshi Tabi collaboration project, “The Apothecary Diaries: Futari Tabi Osaka Chapter,” has been well received since launching on Friday, April 17. The campaign lets fans enjoy special audio and readings available only onboard the Tokaido Shinkansen, along with Osaka city tour content, offering a special time together with Maomao and Jinshi. Starting Thursday, May 14, the second Shinkansen boarding perk, a two-piece mini sticker set, will be distributed. Participants who enjoy the onboard Shinkansen content can obtain a boarding certificate and present it at Animate Umeda to receive the item. The distribution period runs from May 14 to June 18, and the exchange location is Animate Umeda, located on the 3rd floor of NU Chayamachi, 10-12 Chayamachi, Kita-ku, Osaka. Supplies are limited and will end once stock runs out. Also from May 14, the onboard-only “Special Reading” content will be updated to a reading by Takeo Otsuka, the voice of Jinshi, featuring an excerpt from Volume 1, Episode 6, “Poison Taster.” The schedule is as follows: April 17 to May 13, an excerpt from Volume 4’s “Final Chapter,” read by Aoi Yuki; May 14 to June 18, an excerpt from Volume 1, Episode 6, “Poison Taster,” read by Takeo Otsuka; and June 19 to July 20, an excerpt from Volume 1, Episode 7, “Branch,” read by Aoi Yuki. A giveaway campaign will also be held for users of the Shinkansen onboard content, with 15 winners receiving “The Apothecary Diaries: Futari Tabi Osaka Chapter” plush set featuring Maomao and Jinshi. This marks the first time the Oshi Tabi collaboration outfits have been made into plush toys. The items are planned to go on sale at a later date.
