Hisaya-odori Park DESIGN CENTER (Naka-ku, Nagoya) will host an outdoor film screening event, 'Hisaya cinema,' in July at the park's 'Shibafu Hiroba' as a platform to connect various local attractions. This time, it will be a special collaborative project with students from the local vocational school, Nagoya Business Academy. This event is based on the park's concept of 'Smiling Platform' (a stage to refresh and brighten moods) and is an initiative to create vibrancy by integrating the local community, private sector, and public sector. ■ Background of the Collaboration: Let's Energize the Streets of Sakae with Our Own Hands! This joint project was launched from the passionate desire of the Nagoya Business Academy students to 'do something in Sakae, the town we walk through every day' and 'meet many people and build connections through events.' To fully incorporate the fresh perspectives and ideas of the younger generation unique to students, this is not just 'helping out.' Instead, staff and students are working as one team on everything from 'selecting the film to be screened,' 'planning promotional methods involving social media and the school,' to 'event operation and space creation on the day.' ■ Film Selected by the Students: 'The Unknown Girlfriend' A fantastic love story that the students passionately selected, wanting to deliver a work that 'gently makes everyone think about the feelings for loved ones and the choices in their future lives.' Story: One morning, I woke up to find she was a superstar, and I was just a fan. -- Love is tested by 'if.'
