HIOKI (Hioki Electric Co., Ltd.: Ueda City, Nagano Prefecture, President and CEO: Takahiro Okazawa) launched the "HIOKI Product Trade-in Service" in January 2026, promoting initiatives for a circular economy aiming for zero waste. To enable more customers to utilize this service, the scope of eligible products will be expanded starting July 1, 2026. Furthermore, to simplify the usage procedure, the application method for the service will also be revamped. ■ Service Changes (From July 1, 2026) Expansion of Eligible Products The eligible products for the trade-in service will be expanded from the current 130 models to 218 models. Change in Application Method Applications will be completed by accessing a dedicated page and entering the required information. The multi-step application process through conventional dealers will be abolished, allowing for a smoother application. Change in Trade-in Method Customers will be required to pack and prepare the items to be traded in beforehand. A dedicated courier will then pick up the items on a date chosen by the customer. *Pick-up will only be available in the "afternoon" of the desired date (time slot cannot be specified). Change in Trade-in Value Reimbursement Method Instead of a discount from the purchase price, a cashback system will be adopted.
