This event will feature shaved ice made with ingredients from 47 prefectures and 50 varieties. ■Our Vision for nicoe Shaved Ice Koshien Delicious ingredients are essential for making sweets. Shunkado has been holding "nicoe Shaved Ice Koshien" since 2018 to widely convey the dedication and passion of producers across Japan who create these ingredients, through our sweets. This year's "9th Shaved Ice Koshien" will feature colorful new and renewed shaved ice offerings, as well as five types of shaved ice made with Japanese chestnuts from major chestnut-producing regions nationwide. As always, you can enjoy "wow-factor" shaved ice unique to Shaved Ice Koshien. ■Six New & Renewed Items to Debut in 2026! This year, new specialty products include the strawberry "Arimarin" from Saitama Prefecture, "Naruto Kintoki" from Tokushima Prefecture, and Japanese chestnuts from Ibaraki Prefecture, Kumamoto Prefecture, and Ishikawa Prefecture, all major chestnut-producing regions. Saitama Prefecture's strawberry "Arimarin" is a premium variety that has won the highest gold award at numerous competitions. A special mechanism is in place: when you lift the film on top of the shaved ice, a sweet and sour sauce and fresh cream will spill out. The Naruto Kintoki shaved ice from Tokushima Prefecture allows you to fully enjoy the sweet potato in both appearance and texture. The highlight of this year's Shaved Ice Koshien is Japanese chestnuts!
