The product will go on presale from Friday, May 15, 2026, at the event space of HANAGATAYA Gransta Tokyo Central Passage store inside JR Tokyo Station, followed by a phased rollout from Monday, June 1, at Tokyo Banana s outside the Yaesu Underground Central ticket gate at JR Tokyo Station and other stores. The banana-loving Minions have become Tokyo Banana cakes. The popular Tokyo Banana Minions series, which has sold more than 6.6 million units, is returning in a new banana shake flavor. The soft sponge cake is filled with smooth banana shake-flavored custard cream, offering a milky, gentle sweetness with a subtle vanilla aroma. The brand also recommends enjoying it chilled, like a cool banana shake during the hot season. There are five Minion designs printed on the sponge cakes, featuring expressive characters including Bob, Stuart, Kevin, Carl, and Otto. The design inside each package is a surprise.
