GMO Coin, Inc., a GMO Internet Group company, announced that it will begin offering seven additional currency pairs for its foreign exchange margin trading service, “Foreign Exchange FX,” from Monday, May 18, 2026. The new pairs include Hungarian forint/Japanese yen (HUF/JPY), Australian dollar/Canadian dollar (AUD/CAD), and Norwegian krone/Swedish krona (NOK/SEK). With the addition, GMO Coin’s Foreign Exchange FX service will support a total of 21 currency pairs, enabling users to trade with a broader range of investment strategies. The newly added pairs are HUF/JPY, SEK/JPY, EUR/GBP, AUD/NZD, AUD/CAD, NZD/CAD, and NOK/SEK. Trading is scheduled to begin at 7:00 a.m. on May 18, 2026, while limit orders will become available after scheduled maintenance on May 16, 2026. GMO Coin said the new lineup includes HUF/JPY, a popular high-interest-rate currency pair, as well as selected highly correlated pairs that are well suited to automated trading. According to the company, pairs such as AUD/CAD and NOK/SEK involve currencies of countries with strong economic ties and relatively stable volatility, making them more likely to form range-bound markets and therefore suitable for automated trading. In addition to allowing users to configure their own programs, GMO Coin also supports automated trading through integration with the external service “GPT-Trade,” without requiring programming knowledge. Foreign Exchange FX is a margin trading service that aims to generate profit from price differences when buying and selling currencies such as the U.S. dollar and Japanese yen. GMO Coin’s service allows trading from as little as 1 U.S. dollar, and is also available through the GMO Coin app. The company said it will continue developing and improving its services under GMO Financial Holdings’ corporate philosophy of making financial services more affordable, enjoyable, and free.
