Fujitsu Japan will begin implementing a common calculation module, which standardizes medical expense calculations, into its medical accounting system starting June 30, 2026, to contribute to improving operational efficiency and promoting DX at medical institutions. The common calculation module is a program developed to handle changes in medical fee schedules as part of the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare's "Medical DX Reiwa Vision 2030." It calculates medical treatment points and patient co-payments. This implementation is expected to reduce variations in medical expense calculation processing, ensure consistency in calculation details, and alleviate the operational burden associated with system changes due to regulatory updates. The common calculation module will be included as a standard feature in the medical accounting system for medium-sized hospitals, "HOPE SX-T," and the electronic health record system for clinics, "HOPE LifeMark-TX," available at no additional charge. Fujitsu Japan plans to extend the implementation of the common calculation module to its medical accounting system for large hospitals, further contributing to improved operational efficiency and the advancement of medical DX for medical institutions.
