FPC Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and Chairman: Morimasa Sato; hereinafter "FPC") and Sengyo Takagi Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Kusatsu City, Shiga Prefecture; Representative Director: Jin Takagi; hereinafter "Sengyo Takagi"), which operates specialty fresh fish stores, will announce the "Eco-Store Collaboration Declaration" to strengthen initiatives toward the realization of a sustainable circular economy. This declaration aims for both companies, which position the reduction of environmental impact as a key management issue, to contribute to the promotion of a decarbonized society through food containers. Through this collaboration, the use of "Eco-Trays" made from recycled materials will be expanded across all 23 Sengyo Takagi stores, accelerating the effective utilization of resources. ● Key Points of This Initiative 1. Reducing Environmental Impact by Switching to Eco-Products FPC aims to "realize a sustainable society" through the circulation of terrestrial resources and reduction of CO2 emissions via the FPC recycling method, and resource conservation by developing containers with low environmental impact. They manufacture eco-products in "Tray to Tray," which transforms used food trays into new food trays, and "Bottle to Transparent Containers," which collects used PET bottles and transforms them into new transparent containers. Sengyo Takagi has contributed to CO2 emission reductions by actively using FPC's eco-products in its stores. With this declaration as an opportunity, they will further prioritize "environmental consideration" in their container selection criteria, switch to eco-products, and aim to reduce CO2 emissions by 17 tons in the fiscal year ending March 2027. By using eco-products regenerated from collected resources in their stores, they aim to build a sustainable society.
