Shibuya Mirai Design (Representative Director: Hideki Koizumi, hereinafter Shibuya Mirai Design) is pleased to announce that the dance vocal group 'Atarashii Gakko!' has been appointed as ambassadors for the 'GO GLOBAL PROJECT,' a project supporting young people's overseas experiences. To commemorate their appointment, an interview video featuring the four members of 'Atarashii Gakko!' candidly sharing their initial bewilderment overseas, pre-travel anxieties, on-site mishaps, and sincere messages of encouragement to young people will be released on July 1, 2026. Currently, Japan's passport ownership rate remains around 18%, a low level compared to major developed countries like the United States. Although the ownership rate is considered relatively high among younger demographics, economic and psychological hurdles such as the weak yen, soaring travel costs, safety concerns, and language barriers limit the number of cases that actually lead to taking a step abroad. International exchange ideally should be a two-way street, and how to expand opportunities for young people to venture out into the world is a challenge that society as a whole must address. 'Atarashii Gakko!', who continue to challenge themselves on stages around the world, embody the act of 'leaping out into the world' for young people, and have been appointed as messengers to deliver the project's message to the next generation. Together with 'Atarashii Gakko!', who have a large fanbase both domestically and internationally with their global performances and originality, we will accelerate the creation of new systems that enable the next generation of young people to step out into the world, starting from Shibuya. ■ Background of Ambassador Appointment - The Four Members Speak on 'GO GLOBAL' 'Atarashii Gakko!' is a four-member dance vocal group that expresses Japanese culture with their unique worldview, continuing to challenge themselves on the global stage through performances at live events and fes
