By expanding the number of locations, we aim to alleviate customers' anxiety about running out of battery and to establish a role as a hub for securing power during disasters and other emergencies. ■ Resolving battery anxiety and enabling power supply during disasters Smartphones are now the foundation of daily life, used for payments, communication, and more, and running out of battery while out is a common concern for many customers. FamilyMart has been promoting the introduction of "CHARGESPOT," leveraging its strength of having stores along customers' daily routes, to resolve customer anxiety. In addition to urban areas, we have expanded our services to suburban areas, covering all 47 prefectures. With the recent expansion to 10,000 locations nationwide, an environment is now in place where customers can use the service at their nearest store when they are out. Furthermore, in recent years, as preparedness for disasters has become increasingly important, "CHARGESPOT" plays a role as social infrastructure by offering free access in affected areas during emergencies. To meet customer needs, we plan to introduce "CHARGESPOT" to approximately 2,000 additional stores by 2027.
