EarFun Technology has added a new feature to its dedicated iOS and Android app, EarFun Audio, allowing users to replace voice guidance for actions such as power-on and pairing start with smart chime sounds. Users can access the feature for free by registering a supported product in the EarFun Audio app and selecting “EarFun Chime” from the settings screen. Note: Supported product information is current as of May 2026, with further expansion planned. “EarFun Chime” was created through a joint project by Tobias Philippen, a professional musician and sound engineer mainly active in Germany, and creative consultant Christoph Geradts. From 33 sound sets ultimately produced, they carefully selected 11, thoroughly verifying each sound’s role and texture to optimize the chimes as part of the brand experience. Key features include: a dedicated sound set designed to replace default voice guidance; professional sound design and supervision; 11 sound sets selected from 33 candidates; intuitive notifications for earbud connection, operation, and status; and simple sounds with clear recognizability and refined texture. Requirements and setup: users need the latest version of the EarFun Audio app, version 20.1.45 or later on Android and 20.6.6 or later on iOS, and must update supported products to the latest firmware. After updating the app and firmware, the “EarFun Chime” option will appear in the “Voice Guidance Settings” screen for supported models. Tapping it disables language-specific prompt sounds, after which chimes will play during
