CTS Co., Ltd. (headquarters: Ueda City, Nagano Prefecture; President and Executive Officer: Ren Yokoshima; hereinafter “CTS”), a construction ICT specialist supporting problem-solving at construction sites across Japan, announced that it has reached a basic agreement with DSR Asia (Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture; Asia-Pacific General Manager: Hiroyuki Kamata), the Asian base of DSR Corporation (“DSR”), regarding collaboration using technology developed by Noema, a wholly owned subsidiary of DSR. The two companies will begin a joint proof of concept (PoC). The PoC will combine “CAMSTREAMER Cloud” and “IoT SmartHub,” field-related information content within CTS’s on-site business support service “Site Assist Package (SAP),” with Noema’s AI flood detection application to verify the effectiveness of an AI-based river water-level detection and notification system. In recent years, Japan has experienced increasingly frequent and severe natural disasters, including typhoons and record-breaking heavy rainfall in addition to earthquakes, creating urgent challenges for the maintenance and management of social infrastructure. Due to the effects of climate change, these disaster risks are expected to rise further. Against this backdrop, as demand for disaster prevention measures based on Japan’s national resilience plan remains firm, the importance of understanding on-site conditions in real time and objectively is increasing. In this demonstration, AI will automatically detect water levels from camera footage installed along rivers in Ueda City. By integrating AI-based visual monitoring and alert notifications with conventional instrument-based numerical management, the project aims to enable faster and more reliable evacuation decisions and road flooding countermeasures, contributing to the development of sustainable social infrastructure. Technically, the solution provides high real-time performance by implementing Noema’s AI as an application that runs directly on camer
