Mizuno conducted an awareness survey on heatstroke countermeasures. This survey aims to understand what measures people are taking against the heat in recent extreme heat conditions, and to grasp their awareness and actions. As a result of the survey, the most common start time for heatstroke countermeasures was June, with 31.2%. This was followed by May at 26.1% and July at 18.6%. It was found that heatstroke countermeasures begin in early spring, not after the peak of summer. On the other hand, 16.0% of respondents answered, "I am not particularly conscious of it," indicating that a certain number of people are not fully aware of heatstroke countermeasures. Furthermore, while 86.3% of people considered apparel to be important for heatstroke countermeasures, only 32.3% answered that they had "purchased functional apparel" before. Although the importance of apparel is recognized, it appears that criteria for selecting apparel based on functional differences are not yet widespread. When apparel is used for heatstroke countermeasures, it is affected by body temperature and perspiration due to being worn by a person. Therefore, not only the visual impression but also the "material" and functional differences, rather than just the "color," significantly impact comfort. Factors contributing to body temperature rise include both "
