TSMC's first-quarter financial report has been released. TSMC Arizona generated a profit of NT$18.807 billion in the first quarter, surpassing its full-year profit of NT$16.141 billion from last year. JASM in Kumamoto, Japan, reported a profit of NT$951 million in the first quarter, a significant turnaround from a loss of NT$3.249 billion in the same period last year, marking its first profit since the Kumamoto Fab 1 began mass production at the end of 2024. TSMC's Dresden plant in Germany is still under construction and continues to operate at a loss. Regarding government subsidies, TSMC received NT$505 million from the U.S., Japanese, and German governments in the first quarter of this year, a decrease of NT$34.644 billion or 98.56% compared to the NT$35.149 billion received in the same period last year.
