An employee at the 'LOGIC START' escape room in Taipei tragically died from asphyxiation while playing a hanging ghost role. The victim's mother expressed her grief on social media, stating the accident should never have happened. In response, Wu Hsin-tai, a Taipei City Councilor candidate from the Taiwan Statebuilding Party, criticized Taipei Mayor Chiang Wan-an for the city government's passive response, which consisted of ordering a business suspension and shifting blame to a lack of central government regulations. Wu argued that the city government could have utilized existing building, fire, and occupational safety laws for inter-departmental inspections and called for comprehensive project-based checks on all high-risk immersive entertainment venues to prevent future tragedies.
