The Peng Ming-min Foundation for Education has recently organized campus screenings of the documentary "The Legendary Diva, Kao Chu-hua" to foster dialogue about Taiwan's history of political persecution. The foundation hosted three events with over 200 students, followed by in-depth discussions. The film chronicles the life of Kao Chu-hua, an indigenous woman who was a victim of the White Terror era. Panelists, including the film's producer and indigenous rights advocates, discussed intergenerational trauma, the importance of historical archives, and the pursuit of transitional justice and ethnic reconciliation. The foundation hopes these events will encourage society to learn from history and build an inclusive future.
