TEHRAN, May 17 (CNA/Foreign Media) - Iranian media reported today that Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, the Speaker of Iran's Parliament, has been appointed as a special representative for Chinese affairs, responsible for the relationship between Iran and China. Iran's semi-official Tasnim News Agency, citing "informed sources," reported that "Ghalibaf was recently appointed as Iran's special representative for Chinese affairs." Several other media outlets have reported similarly. It is not yet clear who appointed Ghalibaf to this position, but Tasnim reported that he will "coordinate relations in various fields between Iran and China."
