A scaffolding collapse occurred at a construction site in Xinzhuang District, New Taipei City, on the morning of the 14th. One 35-year-old worker fell from the 17th floor and was rushed to Taipei Hospital without vital signs. Another 40-year-old worker on the ground was injured by the falling scaffolding and taken to Far Eastern Memorial Hospital while conscious. Five other workers on-site were unharmed. Authorities have dispatched 25 rescue personnel and are currently investigating the exact cause of the accident.
