The Ministry of Labor clarified rumors that migrant workers having equal labor insurance benefits causes structural risks. Foreign workers paid NT$6.34 billion in individual premiums in 2025 while claiming NT$2.29 billion, resulting in a NT$4 billion surplus. The Ministry stressed that foreign workers' family death claims account for only 0.15% of total payouts. Labor insurance is a risk-sharing system treating domestic and foreign workers equally without negatively impacting financial stability.
