The Ministry of Agriculture issued a press release stating that statistics compiled by the Ministry's Food and Agriculture Administration, Fisheries Agency, and Department of Animal Industry, based on reports from various municipalities and county governments, show agricultural losses from the heavy rain in late June reaching NT$546.95 million as of 5 PM today. Combined with the losses from the heavy rain between June 8th and mid-June, the total agricultural losses for June have reached NT$677.41 million. The Ministry of Agriculture reported that Pingtung County suffered the most from the June heavy rain, with losses amounting to NT$312.54 million. This was followed by Chiayi County with NT$95.31 million, Kaohsiung City with NT$81.49 million, Yunlin County with NT$51.17 million, Changhua County with NT$47.72 million, Tainan City with NT$42.65 million, Taoyuan City with NT$19.17 million, and Hsinchu County with NT$15.69 million.
