Central News Agency (CNA Taipei, July 3) The digitally restored version of the classic film "Run Bing Hua" premiered last night at the Ambassador Theatres Ximen, with the distributor providing tissues for the audience to cry their hearts out. The original singer of "Run Bing Hua," Tseng Shu-chin, stated that the song also aims to convey the spirit of warmth, companionship, growth, perseverance, and dreams. According to information provided by the film company, nearly 600 viewers attended last night's screening. Although Lin Yi-hsiung, who played the father in the film, has passed away, his son specially appeared with the script and stills from that year, moving the audience even more. Chou Ming-jen, Chairman of the National Film and Audiovisual Heritage Foundation, which restored the film, quoted cinematographer Mark Lee at the event, saying, "A film like 'Run Bing Hua,' meeting the audience again after 37 years, if the film itself didn't have a life, how else could we explain this?" Tseng Shu-chin, the lead singer of "Run Bing Hua," said after the screening that the song represents warmth, companionship, growth, perseverance, and dreams. "Without 'Run Bing Hua,' there would be no Tseng Shu-chin." The film will premiere across Taiwan starting on the 8th.
