Central News Agency (CNA Taipei, July 3) Red Sequoia Entertainment announced today the launch of a new brand focused on producing animated IP, "Yi Qi Entertainment," and unveiled new works "Black Journey to the West," "Shattered Planet," and "Festival Deities." The company hopes to expand from developing new IPs into diverse areas such as figurines and animated films. General Manager Lai Yu-tong stated that the three IPs were all inspired by his ideas and developed collaboratively with professional teams, with the hope of bringing original IPs to the international stage. She introduced "Black Journey to the West," which approaches the Journey to the West universe from the perspective of the villains, with the first installment, "Black Journey to the West: Spider Queen," scheduled to begin production by the end of the year. "Festival Deities" presents a romantic fantasy style and will expand the story through figurines and novels. "Shattered Planet" depicts a post-apocalyptic disaster world. Novels for the latter two works are expected to be published in the fourth quarter of this year, and overseas rights are currently under negotiation. Lai Yu-tong expressed a desire not just to tell stories, but to cultivate an IP business ecosystem with infinite extensibility.
