The case is appealable. Lin Yi-chin represents Tainan City's 4th electoral district (Yongkang, Xinshi, Xinhua). She was a Tainan County and City councilor for six consecutive terms. In the 2020 legislative election, she defeated her main opponent, KMT Tainan City councilor Lin Yen-chu.
