Central News Agency BERLIN, July 2 (CNA) - German local officials said that a fire broke out at a hospital in northern Germany, resulting in the deaths of two patients, according to Deutsche Presse-Agentur (DPA) today. DPA reported that both deceased were patients at a local hospital in Ludwigslust, located northwest of Berlin. Initial reports indicate that the fire started in a patient's room. It is not yet clear how many people were injured, but according to DPA, the injuries sustained by those affected were not serious. The fire reportedly spread to the hospital's roof before dawn, prompting the evacuation of patients and staff.
