To allow the national military to equally enjoy a child-rearing-friendly and workplace-friendly environment, the Executive Yuan passed amendments to the "Act Governing the Service of Compulsory Military Service Soldiers," the "Act Governing the Service of Officers and Non-Commissioned Officers of the Army, Navy, and Air Force," and the "Act Governing the Appointment of Officers and Non-Commissioned Officers of the Army, Navy, and Air Force." The draft bills will be sent to the Legislative Yuan for review. Executive Yuan Spokesperson Li Hui-chih relayed at a post-Executive Yuan meeting press conference that Premier Cho Jung-tai stated that in response to the 18 family support measures of the "Taiwan Population Strategy New Framework" and to build a child-rearing-friendly and workplace-friendly environment, the Executive Yuan has successively passed amendments to the "Gender Equality in Employment Act" and the "Employment Insurance Act," partial amendments to the "Military Insurance Act," and partial amendments to the "Civil Servants and Public School Teachers Insurance Act" as jointly transmitted by the Examination Yuan to the Executive Yuan.
