Therefore, the party urges that all advertisements and necessary documents for travel to China should be marked with a "risk warning," similar to the health risk advisories on cigarette and alcohol packaging. The Taiwan Independence Party issued a statement today, saying that China has long claimed Taiwan as part of China and has relentlessly suppressed and contained Taiwan internationally in an attempt to legitimize its claims through persistent assertion. Since the enactment of the Anti-Secession Law in 2005, China has further intended to exert cross-border pressure on Taiwanese through "long-arm jurisdiction," building a legal foundation for such actions. The Taiwan Independence Party stated that the "Law on the Promotion of Ethnic Unity and Progress" defines "overseas" to encompass the entire globe, aiming to use the guise of "ethnic unity" to implement illegal long-arm jurisdiction.
