Central News (Central News Agency, Reporter Huang Chao-wen, Taipei, July 1) The Ministry of Transportation and Communications launched the Green Transportation Service Platform today. After registration, users can check TPASS rewards, carbon reduction achievements, and enjoy extra benefits. Those who register by the end of the year for the TPASS 2.0 commuter plan will receive up to a 3% reward. Additionally, users who use public transportation for over 100 days are eligible to win air tickets. The Ministry of Transportation and Communications held a press conference today for the launch of the "My Green Ride. My Good Life - Green Transportation Service Platform." Deputy Minister of Transportation Chen Yen-po stated that the platform was launched to allow the public to clearly understand their contribution to carbon reduction with each public transportation ride. He hopes that through individual behavioral changes and increased use of public transportation, the goal of net-zero transformation by 2050 can be gradually achieved. The Green Transportation Service Platform has four core functions: green mileage registration, reward inquiry, carbon reduction records, and a leaderboard for green transportation achievements and motivational messages. The Ministry of Transportation and Communications pointed out that the platform visually displays personal green mileage and carbon reduction achievements, converting them into growth indicators. This allows the public to feel and see their carbon reduction results while using public transportation. Through features like accumulating achievements, badges, and rankings on the platform, users will know they are working towards the net-zero transformation goal alongside other public transportation users nationwide. Furthermore, the platform allows users to check TPASS-related rewards, reward redemption status, and usage records for public transportation including MRT, light rail, Taiwan Railways, bus, and public bicycles.
