Central News (Central News Agency Reporter Ho Hsiu-ling Taipei, June 30) Chunghwa Security, a cybersecurity service provider with a 56.68% stake held by Chunghwa Telecom, announced that its board of directors has elected Huang Chih-hsiung, Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of Chunghwa Telecom, as its new chairman, effective immediately. He succeeds former Chairman Chen Ming-shih, who retired. Chunghwa Security stated in a press release today that Huang Chih-hsiung previously served as Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of Chunghwa Telecom, overseeing planning, execution, and supervision of business planning, network, digital convergence, investment, and supply procurement management. Chunghwa Security added that Huang Chih-hsiung holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from National Central University. He has held significant positions such as Vice President of Business Planning, General Manager of Network Division, and Vice President of Telecommunications Research Institute. He specializes in artificial intelligence (AI) and telecommunications technology for fraud prevention, ESG environmental sustainability and renewable energy management, and business strategy planning and management. His professional expertise and experience are expected to inject new momentum into Chunghwa Security's operational growth.
