He said in an interview that he has loved military affairs since elementary school, as well as history and leadership. In junior high school, he felt that soldiers were very important to the country, so he decided to apply to a military academy in the second year of junior high. His family told him that if he was going to attend a military academy, he should set high standards for himself, and he worked hard to meet the admission standards of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point at that time. He shared that he learned several things during his four years at West Point. First, to treat subordinates with humility; second, to lead by example; and third, to lead troops with dedication.
