On Thursday, July 2, 2026, the Takatsuki City Fire Department held a "Comprehensive Training Review" at its Fire Training Center. Seventeen members from four teams, preparing to compete in the 54th Fire Rescue Techniques Kinki Region Guidance Meeting, demonstrated their training results for the "Rope Bridge Rescue" and "Haul Rescue" events. Under the summer sun, the team members showcased their daily training achievements with spirited calls to each other. The "Regional Guidance Meeting," held as a preliminary competition for the National Fire Rescue Techniques Competition (hereinafter referred to as the "National Competition"), which takes place every August, is organized with the aim of allowing fire department personnel to demonstrate the rescue techniques cultivated through daily training and to improve their rescue skills. Achieving a top placement allows them to advance to the National Competition. This year's Kinki Region Guidance Meeting will be held on Saturday, July 25, in Sakai City, Osaka Prefecture. Our fire department is scheduled to compete in two events: "Rope Bridge Rescue" and "Haul Rescue." "Rope Bridge Rescue" is a training exercise simulating entry into a disaster-stricken building from an adjacent building or similar structure via a rope, and then towing a victim to safety. "Haul Rescue" is a training exercise simulating the rescue of a victim who has fallen into a basement or manhole by pulling them up with a rope. At the guidance meeting, accuracy and time will be judged for each event. The comprehensive training review began at 10:00 AM on this day. In the "Rope Bridge Rescue" event, two team members, after quickly creating a bowline knot using a rope, entered the opposing tower carrying ropes and carabiners. They then conducted the rescue operation by suspending the victim role-player from a rescue rope and towing them. In the "Haul Rescue" event, after donning breathing apparatus, team members descended below the tower, located the victim
